Hellooooooo Washington! Got in late on the 8th so wouldn't be able to make it to Mt. Rainier before meeting Zip and Bulldozer
So found a neat area on the way up north
Here I be hiking on the trail to Lake 22 in the Mt. Baker/Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington

It had just rained before hiking, so everything was wet and fresh
And the trail was soooo green!!! Moss and greenery EVERYWHERE. So awesome.
And it was so wet! Totally unlike anything in Arizona.
 Neat improved trail switchbacks

Zip (Nick) on the left, Bulldozer (Chris) on the right! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
We had so much fun. And all we did pretty much is talk about Quake. HAHAHAHA
Ahhhh.... good times.

Sunday the 10th. Met Sean! He took me to the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, which was pretty cool
Tons of salmon swimming around down in the water and jumping out every so often, but none of my pics of it turned out
The locks serve three purposes:
* To maintain the water level of Lake Washington and Lake Union at 20.6 feet above Puget Sound's mean low tide.
* To prevent the mixing of sea water from Puget Sound with the fresh water of the lakes known as saltwater intrusion
* To move boats from the water level of the lakes to the water level of Puget Sound, and vice versa
Thank you Wikipedia :)

This awesome bridge actually opens up to let ships pass underneath. It was quite a site.
Some art near the locks. Spirally :)
They also have a place where you can go down and look through the glass underwater
Had to get my seagull pic. I mean.. you just have to.

 Sean! Hey Sean!!
Also saw Tracy and his boy and girl. They all look wonderful and have a great house which they're making look even nicer
It was really cool to see them again! |
We went looking for some geocaches around Sean's house. There were blackberry bushes EVERYWHERE!!
Quite tasty!! But the thorns prevented searching around for caches hehe.
I have a think or two to learn about searching for geocaches in places with lots of green :)

Fastforward to Monday.. camped near the North Cascades NP, and drove up into it, to go hiking to Cascades Pass
