My new convertible shoe! When I arrived in New Zealand, I was taken aside by biological security due to all the seeds and plant material stuck in my shoes from rogaining in Australia. It turns out cutting out the tongue was the best option and there you have it.

The Kiwi House had a large array of birds This is the Kārearea, or New Zealand Falcon

The Morepork, New Zealand's only surviving native owl Hoot.
The Kāhu, or Australasian harrier, is a master scavenger
This regal bird is also known as a Swamp Harrier
 Parera, the grey duck

The Kea, native to the south island
Along with these birds, I got to see a couple Kiwi as well, but they are noctural so they are in an inside inhabitat and no photography is allowed.
